IT & Infrastructure Assessments

Facts before recommendations.

You cannot plan around what you have not measured

Technology decisions are often made on impressions: a feeling that the server is old, a suspicion that backups are incomplete, a hope that security is adequate. Those impressions are sometimes right and sometimes expensively wrong.

An assessment replaces impressions with a documented picture of what exists, what state it is in, and what it would cost to put right, with the findings ordered by risk rather than by what we would like to sell.

Scope

What an assessment produces

A written report covering your infrastructure, security posture, backup and recovery position, licensing, lifecycle exposure and documentation gaps. Each finding carries an impact, an effort estimate and a recommended priority, so it can be turned into a budget and a plan.

Infrastructure review

Servers, network, endpoints, connectivity and their support status.

Security posture review

Identity, endpoint, email and network controls measured against what is actually configured.

Recovery review

What is protected, how, where, and whether restoration has been demonstrated.

Documentation review

What is written down, what lives only in someone's memory, and what happens if they leave.

Lifecycle and licensing

Hardware and software approaching end of support, with the cost of doing nothing made explicit.

Prioritised roadmap

A sequenced plan with indicative costs, suitable for a board paper.

What you get

What changes when it & infrastructure assessments is handled well

  • A defensible basis for the next twelve months of technology spend.
  • Risks named explicitly rather than discovered during an incident.
  • A document you can hand to an insurer, a buyer or an incoming director.
  • Clarity on what is genuinely urgent and what can wait.

A practical note on it & infrastructure assessments

An assessment is useful whether or not you engage us afterwards. The report is yours, written to be readable by someone who does not work in IT.

Next step

Start with a conversation about what you actually have

Tell us what your environment looks like, what worries you, and what has been deferred. We will tell you what we would do first and what it would involve, before anyone signs anything.
