Structured Cabling
The layer everything else sits on.
Cabling outlasts every other component
Switches, access points and servers get replaced every few years. The cabling stays for decades, and it sets the ceiling on what any future equipment can deliver.
Cabling installed properly (labelled, tested, terminated in a tidy comms room) makes every subsequent piece of work faster. Cabling installed badly makes every fault a search.
Scope
What we install
Data cabling for new fit-outs, extensions and relocations, including containment, patching, comms room build and tidy-up, labelling and certified testing. We work to the specification the building and the intended lifespan require.
Cabling installation
New runs and extensions installed with appropriate containment and support.
Comms room build
Racks, patching, power and cable management arranged so future work is straightforward.
Labelling and records
Every outlet labelled and recorded, with a port map handed over.
Certified testing
Each run tested to its category with results provided.
Wireless and device provision
Cabling planned for access points, cameras, door controllers and displays before the ceiling closes.
Fit-out coordination
Working alongside builders and electricians so cabling happens at the right moment.
What you get
What changes when structured cabling is handled well
- Infrastructure that supports the next equipment generation, not just this one.
- A comms room that can be worked in safely.
- Faults traced in minutes because everything is labelled.
- Test results that prove the installation performs.
A practical note on structured cabling
Cabling is far cheaper before walls and ceilings close. Bringing it into the fit-out programme early usually costs less than the same work retrofitted.
